President Emmerson Mnangagwa said he held discussions with his Motswana counterpart Mokgweetsi Masisi for the passport-free travel arrangement.
Mnangagwa said there was no need to respect borders that were established by the country’s former colonizers.
COUNTRY NOT AFRICAN CONCEPT
With regards to this history, is necessary here. Before 1884, there was no such thing as country in Africa. But there were tribes. Many have to be very fond of their country.
Back then Africans moved from one place to the other with out issue. You could go to the next tribe as long as you come peacefully.
PASSPORT, IDENTIFICATION PAPERS IS NOT AFRICAN CONCEPT
No need for paper or identification. People believe in thing they found when they were born. When most of us were born, we found papers. By paper I mean identification paper and passport without asking questions. Africans before us really really questioned those questions.
APARTHEID
Speak to the South African men who needed passport to move from one place to the other in their own country during Apartheid.
We find it normal to have countries as they are today because that is what we have grow up to believe. Are there positive things about that? Certainly, as there are negative things.
The African Economy
In terms of economy, African countries are the last power countries in the world. In spite of all the resources that we have. Why can’t we be like America? Why can’t we Africans bring our strength and intelligence together. Or even be United States of Africa. So that we can compete against the rest of the world.
Skepticism About Borderless Africa
Many people believe that by opening there borders, a lot of people will be flooding into their country. Especially if their country is better than other countries. Though this could be true. But look at it this way. In your country, there are tribes. Does one tribe flood another tribes territory abandoning their own territory? No. So, what is the difference?
Why are people afraid of other African people? I mean, if you have good policing and good judiciary, why be afraid of anybody coming to your country. China opens its door to everybody. If you go to China and do nonsense, you will go straight to jail. They are not afraid of you coming to their country.
Why Some Africans Feel Threaten By Other Africans
Why do some African people feel threatened by other African people? Many find it hard to acknowledge this. I guess they feel threatened because there could be competition in the market and that the other African could be more clever. Some even fear that other Africans could be very good with women. Thus taking their women away. Though there could be more serious fears than mentioned.
Why Africans Must Come Together
Africans must come together. That is the only way forward. If you go anywhere in the world, There is no where Africans are like or accepted or tolerated. I can tell you that for free. As a Caucasian you can go anywhere in the world and almost never be in danger, but welcomed as a tourist. This is because of skin color.
We Africans have a real issue. In India, we are beaten. In Saudi Arabia, we are chased around. The hatred is endless. Knowing this fact, Why do we have to hate each other? I am not endorsing criminality or those who go to other countries to do crime.
Should we prevent ourselves from progressing because we are scared that some body from another African country will come and commit crime in our country? Even in your country, you have criminals.
The Africa United Europe
Before Europe became what it is today. They went through a lot of battle. They misunderstood each other. The British fought the French. The French fought the Spanish. The Spanish fought the Greeks. etc,, Until they got to the point where they said to each other, “Instead of us fighting each other, how about we go to Africa and teach those people that have no culture, Christian culture.”
The Europeans are not the same people. If you compare the Europeans from Italy to those from Netherland, they are not the same. They don’t even look the same. So as much as you look at other people from other African areas, they are still the same Africans.
Opening up Africa to Africans does not mean you need to come and dance on the wrong foot. So if you dare do something wrong, you are going to be thrown in jail and be served to the public as an example.
The reason why you fear people is because you don’t understand them.
