There are reports that Nigeria is looking to enter BRICS in the next two years. This is according to Bloomberg. This is also from a statement from the Nigerian Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar who said the following
“Nigeria has come of age to decide for itself who her partners should be and where they should be, being multiple aligned is in our best interest“, the minister stated.
Now let us look at it closely. It will be a huge thing if Nigeria enter BRICS. Thinks about it. Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE and then Nigeria, altogether into BRICS. So, now who is going to control the energy around the world? Your guess is as good as mine. BRICS, of course! Then you have India and China refining the oil. Trust me. That will be a checkmate move, if Nigeria achieve joining BRICS.

Evening Argentina can not hide how important BRICS is.
The Argentinian president, Javier Milei wanted to take Argentina out of BRICS. Argentina joined BRICS before he won the election. But now Javier MIliei is walking back that campaign talking point. He is saying his team will most likely stay in BRICS or will explore staying in BRICS. While not being a major participant. In other word, they will not be very active. Truth be told, I don’t know how possible that is. If you are in BRICS, you are in. If you are not in, you are not in.
Argentina wants to be in BRICS and get all the benefits of being in BRICS. While not contributing anything to BRICS. I don’t know if that works. Some say it will be insane to take Argentina out of BRICS just because you want to orient towards the West (US, Europe etc…). Let us look at it, say Trump wins the next US election. Trump most likely will not be against Argentina joining BRICS. Argentina is in BRICS already. Why cut it off.
I would advice Argentina to stay in BRICS. Argentina can, as they want re-orient itself to the West (US, Europe etc…) and make Argentina a type of bridge between the West and BRICS
